Atlas Copco Specialty Rental now provides a cost-effective alternative to capital purchase or financing of compressed air equipment.
The company's national marketing, sales and business development manager Richard Harris believes the timing is right.
"In the current economic climate it's difficult for manufacturers to raise capital or finance. It's becoming more sensible to rent from specialists.
"And we can rent brand new equipment on long term agreements at rates competitive with finance."
According to Harris, companies wanting to upgrade existing equipment, needing extra units to ease bottlenecks or looking for energy savings will find a complete range of compressors and accessories at Specialty Rental.

The company's first step is to establish compressed air demand. "This is critical for selection of the correctly optimised combination of rental equipment."
Atlas Copco then searches for potential energy savings by simulating variable speed drive (VSD) compressors using actual demand profile.
"In many cases the energy savings from a VSD will more than offset the rental rate. When you consider that there are no maintenance costs with rental, that can mean a big net saving," said Harris.
After assisting with the decision making process, the final phase is implementation where Atlas Copco's specialist compressed air knowledge assists with installation.
Customers are also covered under the rental agreement for standby air. If there is an equipment failure or any equipment problem, Specialty Rental can provide a diesel-powered unit to ensure continuity of operations.
