Industrial professionals are being urged to sign-up for Work Safe Week, which is being held from 25 to 29 October and is designed to bring manufacturers and other industries up to speed with developments in workplace safety and health.
Small, medium and large businesses, office workers, labourers, apprentices and managers are all urged to sign-up to Work Safe Week, which is designed for all Victorian businesses and run by WorkSafe Victoria.
Last year over 7,000 people showed their commitment to improving workplace safety by attending the Work Safe Week seminars and events that were held across the state.
To top off a successful week, over 800 guests attended the 21th Annual WorkSafe Victoria Awards to cheer the nominees and dance the night away.
This year over 100 seminars and events are being held across Melbourne and regional Victoria, and you’ll find them more practical and hands on than ever. From conferences, educational seminars and panel discussions to interactive workshops, displays, breakfasts and BBQ’s, there’s something for everyone, WorkSafe Vistoria says.
Throughout the week, you’ll hear from WorkSafe and other industry experts on a broad range of safety related topics, everything from the new OHS laws to manual handling, Return to Work, work related stress, bullying, and health and wellbeing.
